A Trip To Cheetah Park

Something recent that happened about having Cheetahs as pets is that in 2009, a father and son rescued 3 cheetahs from the wild because they would not be able to survive out there in the wild alone. The father and son own a place called a Cheetah Park on the safari. They often have visitors come and stay for a few nights. One night a group of people went on a trip and had been told that they would be staying there for a night but they did not know what to expect. This is something that one of those people had to say about their stay:

Brittany had a nice conversation about keeping cheetahs as pets with the father, and he told her that they make great house pets. They are very nice, loyal, and playful, just like a house cat. He has only had minor scratches from playing with them and they even sleep in his bed with him. At that moment, Brittany announced she would have a cheetah as a pet in the future. Lindsey and Sarah soon decided they wanted one as well. (TravelPod.com)

Later that day, they got into their truck and drove off. When they went through the metal fence within only a few minutes a bunch of cheetahs started to follow them. Finally, the son decided to stop the truck, get out, and feed them with meat. The cheetahs were fighting for the meat and were throwing it all around in the air. When they got a piece to eat then they ran away. This story about Lindsey and her friends is a good example of showing how there are some people out there that have a love for cheetahs. This is a great example of why people should get a cheetah as a pet.
